For Dr. Christina Grant the road from Harlem school teacher to D.C. Superintendent of Education is storied and intentional. Among many esteemed roles, she has served as Deputy Executive Director in the New York Department of Education and Chief of Charter Schools and Innovation for The School District of Philadelphia Christina. Along this path of leadership in education, Dr. Grant has continuously deepened her own education, earning a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the Teachers College of Columbia University, additional degrees from Fordham University and Hofstra University, and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.

Her work is built on her belief that education has the power to transform – a belief that has clearly guided her own pursuits as well as her commitments to the students she has served up and down the Northeastern Atlantic corridor.
We at POLIHIRE are honored to have played a part in bringing Dr. Grant’s leadership to D.C. and we continue to value our ongoing relationship with the District.
