Prince William County is seeking their next County Executive.
Prince William County is an innovative and forward-thinking community. Guided by the County’s Prince William 2030 Report and Comprehensive Plan, the elected Board of County Supervisors makes policy decisions to establish the goals and priorities of the Prince William County Government and manage land use throughout the County. The eight-member Board of County Supervisors is elected by the residents and is the policy-making body for the county government. There are nearly 6,000 county government employees.
Under the direction of the Board of County Supervisors, the County Executive performs independently and operates within the Prince William County Code and general policy guidelines while exercising substantial latitude and discretion to achieve the goals and objectives of the Government. The County Executive participates in intergovernmental activities at regional, state, and national levels to influence legislative and regulatory change consistent with the County’s interests and the needs of its citizens.
