Kenyatta founded POLIHIRE in 2006. He has more than 30 years of experience in recruitment with over two decades in executive search supporting local government and non-profit organizations. He has successfully led hundreds of searches throughout his career, partnering with mayors, governors, appointed executives, and boards and commissions, to recruit cabinet-level officials, city administrators/managers, deputy mayors, inspector generals, and directors across the public sector. 

Prior to founding POLIHIRE, Kenyatta served as the Executive Recruitment Manager for the District of Columbia Government under Mayor Anthony Williams. He has also served as a market leader for three of the country’s largest staffing firms. 

Kenyatta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Howard University’s School of Business. Kenyatta is an active member of several civic and professional organizations. He serves on the Business Council of the African American Mayors Association and is a member of the International City/County Management Association, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and the Society for Human Resources Management, to name a few. He is also an active Life Member of the General Alumni Association of the University of North Carolina.
